Please read through the entire checklist, as some information may have changed.
Includes a brushing; may be additional fees for mats
It is recommended that you bring your own pet’s food and ensure you bring enough to last the duration of their stay. This will help avoid digestive upset caused by suddenly switching their diet. You can also bring their favourite treats. We do not supply hypoallergenic treats, so if your dog requires them, please bring some from home.
If you forget to bring food for your pet, we can feed our own food (MCRC GI low fat canned food) while your pet stays with us for $7.00 per can.
We accept pets that are on a raw diet, and will feed them this diet for an additional $4.00/day. If you have two pets on a raw diet, the second dog will be $2.00/day. Please bring the raw food in leak proof containers, not bags.
You can bring their favourite bedding or toy for added comfort.
We also supply any bedding that is required. Additional fees are incurred if your pet destroys our beds/blankets.
Please provide us with instructions for any special care or medications. Medications can be administered for $2.00/day for up to three medications or $3.00 for more than three medications. For two pets on less than three medications each, the cost will be $3.50/day. If your two pets have more than three medications each, the fee will be $6.00/day.
Up to date vaccinations administered by a Veterinarian are required. You can either bring us proof of vaccinations from your Veterinarian, or have them email us a copy ([email protected]). Titres are accepted. We highly recommend your pet have flea/tick treatment and a dewormer prior to their stay. Your veterinarian can go over the best options for your pet.
Required Vaccinations
Dogs: Rabies, DA2PP (combo vaccine), Bordetella (kennel cough)
Cats: Rabies, FRCP (combo vaccine); FeLV (feline leukemia virus)- required only for outdoor or social cats
You can either read through and sign this at drop-off, or bring in a completed form at arrival. If you wish to go over this at drop-off, allow yourself an extra 15 minutes to read it over and sign.
We recommend new clients come in with their pet prior to their stay with us. Call us to book a tour with your pet; this allows them to become familiar with us and our surroundings.
The best practice for dogs coming to daycare is to go through our daycare trial and then shorten their first couple of visits to half a day. For dogs that are coming to board with us, they could either come for daycare (if they are friendly with other dogs) or for a night of boarding. The night of boarding is usually the best option so that they have a chance to get used to their kennel, and have a glimpse of our routine. This is not required and is up to owner preference.
For you and your pets first visit, we ask that you give yourself at least 15 minutes to read over and sign our paperwork, and to see the facility.
Please be advised that a deposit equal to one half of the anticipated fees is required to secure any overnight stay. Cancellations less than 10 days prior to boarding forfeits the deposit for regular dates. For high booking times (March break, Christmas, Thanksgiving, long weekends), cancellations less than 30 days prior to boarding forfeits the deposit.
